*I have to confess that I was completely ignorant of the current Hannah Montana …fad…or phenomenon…or whatever it is? until I just happened to drive past our local sports arena, on one recent Sunday afternoon, and spotted a small army of very excited, and very energetic, and very, very loud pre-teenage girls and a bunch of apparently shell-shocked adults, who I assumed were their parents, milling around in an already overcrowded area that was just outside of the arena’s front entrance, where an almost overwhelming carnival-like atmosphere (or pure chaos?) seemed to rule the day, while this still growing group was watching a number of lesser performers entertain them while many of them were waiting in line to buy one or more of the many...and probably very expensive...souvenirs that were being offered for sale by so many vendors that it was hard to count them as I was driving by, so that these youngsters could then have something to take back home with them, and to then use to remind themselves of the great time that they were obviously already having, in downtown Houston, at the sports arena, several hours before “Hannah” was even scheduled to take to the stage inside, to begin her latest sold out concert...that had in fact been sold out since last September, and since about 5 minutes after the tickets first went on sale!
