*My thanks go out to Duckman86, of Palo Alto, California, for sharing his views on why the 1986 movie, Howard The Duck, failed so completely..."in every way that it is possible for a movie to fail," which seem to center around the "fact" that even though the movie was originally supposed to be an extension and expansion of the original Howard The Duck Marvel comic book series, which was already successful and which would have brought in a ready made audience of very enthusiastic supporters, the Hollywood producers wandered so far off course that the finished product was nothing more than an unrecognizable mess that the legion of Howard The Duck fans who were already in place and waiting...and wanting...to support it refused to do so...along with pretty much everyone else in the world...except me.
