HOUSTON-SIGHTSEEING-THE ASTRODOME!

*The Reliant Astrodome, which when it first opened in 1965 was called "The Harris County Domed Stadium" and "The Eighth Wonder of The World," is still located about seven miles south of downtown Houston, at 8400 South Kirby Drive, where it has become a seldom used part of what is now called "Reliant Park," which includes "Reliant Stadium," it's much larger and much grander all weather replacement.

*Since it basically closed in 2004, several plans to turn "The Dome" into various things that would return it to economic viability have been put forward...and then shot down...the last (?) of which was an elaborate 450 million dollar plan to turn it into a world class convention hotel with the appropriate supporting facilities...which has reportedly been recently vetoed by the powers that be at the Houston Texans NFL football team and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
