The San Jacinto Battleground State Historical Park, which is located within an easy drive from downtown Houston, in the present day Houston suburb of La Porte, where it offers the general public a number of very interesting and very informative exhibits that illustrate not only the battle itself but also the time immediately before and after the battle, which makes is well worth a visit.
