*Recently, after reading a magazine article about the fast pace of modern business, I remembered a story that my grandfather told me, about how, back in the early 1920's, when he and his family were living in one of the West Texas oil boom towns, he learned to drive a car one morning, and then bought a used Dodge sedan that afternoon, and then woke up the next morning and started that town's first taxicab business, which seems like a pretty fast pace to me!

My grand dad arrived in a West Texas boomtown one day back in the '20's and started a general store the next.
