*Senior Citizens who are already walking at home and around their neighborhoods, for exercise and/or pleasure, sometimes choose to start walking out in the country or at least in more rural areas, which is otherwise known as "Hiking," which can be both beneficial and enjoyable as long as they also include the appropriate precautions, which include at least those that I have listed here...in no particular order.
*Hikers should avoid Hiking without first telling a trusted person...or...better yet, several trusted persons...where they are going and when, and their approximate schedule, to include when then are expecting to return.
*Hikers should avoid Hiking alone, so that there will be someone else present who can help with any accident that may occur.
*Hikers should avoid Hiking in places that would would be difficult for potential rescuers to access, in case of an accident of some kind.
*Hikers should avoid Hiking in areas and/or under circumstances that are not appropriate to their present abilities.
*Hikers should avoid Hiking without the appropriate equipment, such as walking shoes, protective clothing, cell phones, etc, and/or the appropriate supplies, such as food and water and medicines, etc.
