*As anyone who has read my earlier postings on electric cars can probably tell, I am a longtime car buff with a growing interest in the future of the automobile and in its possible future power sources, which is why I have developed a recent interest in the potential of hydrogen fuel cells for possibly future service in this role, and after much research...which is continuing...I have concluded that fuel cells, which are electrochemical conversion devices that pull hydrogen from a number of possible sources, including methanol, and then mixes this hydrogen with oxygen in a way that produces electricity, while leaving only a light nonpolluting residue of water vapor, do in fact have some potential for becoming the wave of the future, at least as far as powering future automobile goes...but only after they receive another few years of intensive research and another few billion dollars for further development...without which they seem likely to remain exactly what they are today..."the wave of the future."
