WRITING-WRITERS STRIKE!

*Well, okay, its official. The Writers Guild of America (WGA), is now on strike against The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers(AMPTP), because of the WGA's unmet demands for a greater share of the profits that the (AMPTP) makes from the DVD and Online sales of the movies and the other materials that WGA members write.
Note: Since this WGA strike is just getting started, and since this is their first strike since 1988, it is not yet possible to estimate the money that this is going to cost the industry in general and/or the individual sides in particular, but it is important to note that the 1988 strike lasted a little over 5 months and cost the industry over 500 million dollars.
Note: Additional WGA related information may be obtained by connecting to the WGA website at www.wga.org/ .
