HEALTH-STRESS MANAGEMENT-MEDITATION!

*Ever since my recent heart attack, I have been searching for ways to better manage the increased stress that it and the other problems that have come along with it have been causing me, which is why I am now looking into Meditation to see if it is something that I might be able to use to help me get myself through the difficult times that I am now facing.
*Even though I still do not know too much about Meditation, my studies thus far have shown me enough to encourage me to go further in my pursuit of this matter, and while so doing I have already learned that some of the techniques that are still in use today have grown out of various Hindu and Buddhist traditions that could go back as far as five thousand years, and that some of the others have grown out of the birth of modern psychology and psychiatry in the late 1800's, and that when properly used Meditation could possibly help me in several ways, to include (1) by helping me to learn how to relax on command, so to speak, and thus help me to increase my ability to control my stress, and (2) it could help me to improve my concentration, and therefore my critical thinking, and therefore my ability to see things more clearly, and to then...hopefully...help me to more readily identify possible solutions to my present problems, and (3) it could help me to improve my sense of self awareness, and then my sense of self control, and then show me the way to improve myself in any number of other spiritual, and mental, and physical ways that I have not yet even imagined...or not...who knows?

You should try Tai Chi, which is a kind of moving meditation.

Yoga has also been recommended to me, and I will be looking into both as time goes on.
