HELP-MISSING ALZHEIMERS PATIENTS-SAFE RETURN!

*In addition to the "Silver Alert" program, which I just mentioned in my most recent post on that subject, the Alzheimer's Association runs a "Safe Return" program that is also designed to help locate missing Alzheimer's patients.

*The way that the Safe Return program works is that...
...an individual with Alzheimer's or other related forms of dementia is first registered into a confidential database, that is accessible 24 hours a day, by way of a toll free telephone number that can be used from anywhere in the United States, Canada, and Mexico that has telephone service.
...and then each Safe Return sends an ID bracelet or necklace, clothing labels, and other identification products to each registrant that include the person's name, ID number, and their Safe Return number.
...and then if the registrant wanders off or becomes lost, someone can call the Safe Return number to begin the recovery process, which usually includes the faxing of the missing registrant's identification and photographs to the authorities, and to the news media, and to the general public, as appropriate, along with a toll free telephone number that can be used by anyone to relevant information about the present whereabouts of the missing registrant.
Note: Toll free telephone numbers include 1-888-572-8566 (registration,) 1-800-572-1112 (missing reports,) and 1-800-625-3780 (location reports.)
Note: Additional information about this and other related subjects may be obtained by contacting the local Alzheimer Association chapter, which for the Houston, Texas area is the Houston and Southwest Texas Chapter, which can be reached by telephone at 1-713-266-6400 and/or online at www.alztex.org.
Note: Additional information about this and other related subjects may be obtained by contacting the (US) national Alzheimer's Association by telephone at 1-800-272-3900 and/or online at www.alz.org .
