*Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, which Amarillo, Texas, businessman, Cal Farley started in 1939, as a small home for "troubled" boys, has since grown into the largest privately-funded child welfare provider in the United States, and one that now provides both residential and community based services to both boys and girls, who are considered to be "at risk," and does so at no cost to those children or to their families.
*Cal Farley's, as this organization is now known, now offers its services at both of its Amarillo area locations, Boys Ranch and Girlstown, as well as at its community service offices in the Dallas-Fort Worth and the Houston, Texas areas.
